I originally trained as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and worked in various hospitals. An underlying principle in Medicine is that the body constantly strives to achieve balance, homeostasis. This is also the underlying principle in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which also stresses the mind/body/spirit connection. Having experienced the benefits of acupuncture first hand I decided that I wanted to help other people benefit from this ancient form of therapy. I spent 3 years training in the theoretical, practical and clinical aspects of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. I then did a postgraduate course in China studying at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, getting practical experience in Gulou Hospital under the guidance of Dr Bosheng.

Orthodox Medical Sciences, anatomy, physiology and pathology are part of the Acupuncture course to ensure safe and effective treatment. I am fully trained and insured to treat using the therapies listed.
